Chatterbox Acres is located in the Shenandoah Valley of VA, close to Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia are short drives away.

We raise dual-registered Nigerian Dwarf goats (both AGS and ADGA).  In 2013, we participated in the ADGA linear appraisal program.  We plan to participate again in 2017.

Our family adores our goats, with both children and adults interacting with and caring for the goats on a daily basis.  Each goat has a unique personality that we know well.  Providing socialization to goat kids and having friendly goats is one of our goals.

We are always happy to talk about goats and share the knowledge we have gained after having owned goats for almost 10 years.   However, a goat's needs can be very different from property to property -- what works here may not work where you are.    Also, many people buy goats without awareness of potential issues and without the supplies needed to deal with those issues.   We want you to get off to the right start, so we encourage all prospective goat owners to research goat management and care, to stock a "medicine" cabinet, and to line up a ruminant veterinarian PRIOR to bringing goats home.

If you are interested in making goats a part of your life, we encourage you to drop us a line and let us know where your interests lie (milking, showing, friendly kids, etc.).   We will do our best to match you up with kids or adults that we hope will meet your needs.   We look forward to hearing from you!
